# What is a rep?

## A Beautiful rep is your AI agent. It belongs to you and can help out with life admin.

When your rep hatches they will be able to help find your next home. Book a restaurant or a flight.
Plan a hotel stay or spa day. Chase refunds. Compare bills. Arrange appointments. Follow up on all the
little jobs that steal your time.

You get to name your rep and decide what they can and cannot do. You decide when they may act and when
they must ask first. **They work for you and nobody else.**

Every rep has their own email address and optionally WhatsApp. They can talk to you and the rest of the
world using the tools we all already have.

A rep is not another app to manage. They can act on your behalf but they never pretend to be you.
Beautiful looks after your rep on your behalf but **your rep belongs to you**. You can move them to
another provider with minimal hassle. We hope you never do.

Reps are still learning the ropes, so we are hatching them slowly and putting each one through careful
training before handing them to their new owners. Every new rep starts with clear boundaries and you
can give them more responsibility as they show they can be trusted with it.
